These are crazy times we are living in with the Corona-Virus epidemic. The homeless are extremely vulnerable at this time since to shelter in place means nothing when you don't have a place. The places they normally seek food and shelter are not always available to them.
We had made the hard decision from the very beginning that we would stay open to try to help those who would abide by our basic safety precautions and not cause trouble, but this also puts our staff at risk. We are trusting God to see us through this time just like he has every time we have had a need.
Please pray
That those who need to hear the gospel would cross our paths
That our clients would remain healthy
That our staff would remain healthy
That the government would not interfere with our assistance
That the Joy of the Lord would be our stregnth
It's with heavy heart that I am resigning from Gift of God ministries. I have been working there multiple times each week since the fall of 2014 and been the assistant pastor since October 2015. My final message was about how as Christians we should be able to forgive each other and then get a display of what happens when brother is unable to forgive a perceived slight. I take peace in Romans 12:18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. I think that six years of overlooking faults is due diligence. I don't have any hard feelings against Pastor Ed, but I'm sure I will just be another name on a long list of people he is holding a grudge against.
