How great is OUR God
Today is November 11th, 2017 and I woke up to the news of another terrorist attack in New York where some radical Islamist killed multiple people with his truck while yelling "allau akbar", but all of the news outlets were reporting that he yelled "God is great".
There is a difference between "allah is great" and "God is great", and it's an important difference that everyone should know.
1. Allah isn't a god, but a thin veil over the face of Satan as he joyfully decieves people into hell. 1st Corinthians 8:4-6 we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.” For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”— yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
2. Allah doesn't have power over sin or death, but only deals in sin and death. Only Jesus Christ has the power over sin and death. 1st Corinthians 15:54-57 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
3. Allah doesn't love people, but Our God does. 1st John 3:1-3 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.
4. Allah can't promise anything in the next life, but Our God does. 1st John 2:23-25 Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that he made to us — eternal life.
What is so great about Allah? Is it his command to deceive others? Is it his command to kill others? Is it his hatred of women? Is it his hatred of children? Is it in the kidnapping and rape of thousands upon thousands of young girls around the world? Is it his insatiable desire for war and chaos?
Allah is not great, but rather the embodiment of everything evil in man without any restraint. Allah is the fulfillment of Gods promise to Hagaar and Ishmael, Abraham's son out of sin, when he says in Genesis 16:10-12 “Behold, you are pregnant and shall bear a son.You shall call his name Ishmael, because the LORD has listened to your affliction. He shall be a wild donkey of a man,his hand against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen.”
There is a fundamental difference between the God who created everything and the so called god that wants you to destroy everything, and the anti-christian world establishment wants to erase these differences and blur the lines between the followers of Jesus Christ and the wild jackasses that run around trying to destroy everything.
Our God truly is great. Our God is great in Justice, in Mercy, in Vengeance, in Love, in Power.
Our God was great in creating everything from nothing in six literal days.
Our God was great in destroying all but Noah and his family and two of every animal with a literal and universal flood.
Our God was great in scattering all the people groups across the face of the earth at the literal tower of Babel.
Our God was great in calling Abram our of Ur of the Chaledees and leading him to the land of Canaan where his promise of the land was given to Isaac the rightful heir by promise to the land of Israel.
Our God was great in bringing the tribe of Israel to Egypt where they were slaves for 215 years and became a great people in number.
Our God was great in bringing the tribe of Israel out of Egypt and allowed them to cross the literal parting of the red sea on dry land and allowed that same sea to close again destroying the pursuing army of Pharaoh.
Our God was great in leading the Israelites through the wilderness for 40 years to prepare a new generation to enter the promised land.
Our God was great throughout Israels victories and defeats.
Our God was great throughout Israels captivities in Assyria, Babylon, and the Roman occupation.
Our God was great in sending his Son to be the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all who would believe in him.
Our God was great in the founding of the Church.
Our God was great during the diaspora or dispersion of the Jews.
Our God was great through centuries of antisemitism throughout Europe.
Our God was great through allowing the British to conquer the renamed promised land of Palestine in 1917
Our God was great in allowing the Allied forces to end the Jewish Holocaust in Nazi held Germany.
Our God was great in ending the British mandate against Jewish immigration back to the promised land in 1948 and the subsequent establishment of a Jewish state there.
Our God was great in giving Israel victories over their enemies in 1967, 1973.
Our God will be shown to be great when he literally returns and establishes his kingdom here on earth and fulfills all his promises that He made to Abraham and David.
While mankind has made a mess of this world and has continually rejected Our God, His greatness is without dispute and will soon come to a final climax where every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
