While we're waiting for the IRS to approve our 501c3, I've been busy writing course content for The Discipleship Center.
I have completed the first draft of the study notes for the book of Romans and am working on illustrations and weblinks for the bible passages now.
I have also completed the first draft of a introductory course called "You Can Adult" that shows people what it's like to be a responsible and productive adult.
The third course which is only in the brainstorming phase right now will be called "Be A Disciple To Make A Disciple", and it will cover topics on what salvation really is, how to share your faith, how to study the Bible on your own, how to find a good church, and other topics.
I am also teaming up with Pastor Randy Caswell as he implements an addiction recovery through discipleship course. I know that at least some of the people who come to us for help will have struggled with some type of substance abuse problem, and we want to be able to give them the appropriate care that only God can provide through the truth of His word.
While we talk about the farm a lot at The Discipleship Center, but that is just one tool that we use to teach others. This whole ministry is wrapped around teaching people about God, what His standards of living are all about, what His son Jesus did for us, and how to follow Jesus in the path He laid out for us.
