New Years Resolutions

It's the day after Christmas, and we are finishing the end of year things and looking forward to a new year.

Like many people, I have tried new years resolutions in the past with thoughts that this year is going to be so much different than last year, but in reality, every day is the same struggles as I've always had.

Perhaps, instead of turning over a new leaf, or having some type of superficial change in your life like loosing 10 pounds or going to the gym more often, why don't you enact real life change.

What kind of life change am I talking about? I'm talking about following Jesus.

Not sure where to start? Let me give you some first steps

1. Are you saved? If you're not sure what saved means or what you need to be saved from, then let me share a short video with you on this subject.

2. Study the Bible to get a better understanding of your salvation, and your new position in the kingdom of God. I would start by reading the Gospel according to John, and the book of Romans.

I was saved for years and lived a marginal Christian life not concerned with my testimony or with doing good works within my local church. After I lost my family, my house, and my job, I turned to God and repented of my lifestyle and started studying the book of Romans, and it changed my thinking on so many things. This is why a change that doesn't result in following Jesus closer is a worthless change and you deserve so much more and God deserves so much more out of you.
